Dependencies
gElemental requires glibmm and gtkmm, version 2.6.0 or later. To install it from source, the gettext, libtool, and pkgconfig utilities are also required. The BODR data are included, so the bodr package is not required. The optional API documentation requires Doxygen to be built. pyElemental requires gElemental version 1.2.0 or later and Python version 2.4 or later.
- Debian GNU/Linux
- In recent releases, this set of packages satisfies all the required dependencies: build-essential, libgtkmm-2.4-dev, and gettext. pyElemental requires python-dev, and the optional API documentation requires doxygen.
- Gentoo Linux
- gelemental-1.2.0.ebuild and pyelemental-1.2.0.ebuild can be added to a Portage overlay in the sci-chemistry section.
- Zenwalk Linux
- gElemental and pyElemental are available as Extra packages.
- Ubuntu
- Packages are in the Universe repository for 8.04 (Hardy): gelemental, libelemental0, libelemental-dev, libelemental-doc, and python-elemental. For previous Ubuntu releases, see the Debian dependencies above.
